Who we are:
The Office Mob or T.O.M. has been created by a Mob of Property, IT, Finance and Operations professionals to better service the South African Serviced Office search market.
The team is led by Astrid Gillwald who has 25 years property experience that spans all disciplines from Commercial property management, Sales and leasing to General Manager of a Serviced Office and Self-Storage business.
Astrid has also recently been nominated as regional Chair of the Women’s Property Network which is a national network established over 10 years ago to assist women in the commercial property sector through Education, Skills Development and Networking Opportunities. Women’s Property Network partners with organisations such as South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), The Green Building Council and South African Shopping Centre Council.
T.O.M. was created out of a gap we found in the market. We have all used various search providers over the years it became apparent that local knowledge could be a key differentiator. The conversion rate is currently so low and this is largely due to both the potential client and search agency not understanding the local market offering.”
Our Aim
T.O.M. aims to change that by creating software and systems backed by local expertise to ensure that those searching for the perfect space are provided with options that not only match their space requirements but also their geographical and cultural needs.
